Damn busy the whole week.

Like, I only had time to do my homework on Friday. Lucky that on Mon and Tues there's no school.

Anyway, on Saturday and Sun I had Scouts. Job Week they say, but most of the money I raised was from donations. DONATIONS!! they called it contributions. Ha!

Typical:

Me: Knock knock
Potential "jobgiver" (call him PJ for now): Yes?
Me: I am from the raffles 01 scouts group and we are currently having our job week. So is there any jobs that i can do for you?
PJ: (looks apprehensively at my scouts uniform(yes, kinda stupid to ask us to do it in this as we cant do much chores in it)) ... no i dont think so. (ready to close door in my face)

Then the crucial moment arrives: if i phrase it correctly, she would pobably give some, if not, bam! goes the door in my face.

Dont say : would you like to donate? (interpretation: this scouts boy is so pathetic and he wants me to give free money away and probably loads of it. Ha! As if i would do that)

Say: Can you please contribute a little (emphasis on little)bit of money to charity (dont mention that some of it fund our activities first; later if they ask)? Just one or two dollars.

People are more likely to contribute if they hear the second one.

Then you have to stratagise a bit. How do you earn $250 in two days? The best way is to go to places where people know you and would likely donate more. AKA friends. So me and Ming Foong raided our friend's houses (lucky for Manfred we could nt find his), including Chevy, Jazyln, Grace, Nick Quah, some guy from Cat High and got around twenty five from these people (big thanks, and i would like to note that Rosythians gave around twice as much as Cat High peeps, so Good Job guys!)
