FPS

FPS was quite fun yesterday.

I was in the history module, so i went around to the Archives and the ACM for some activities. Basically, the whole thing revolves around Singapore in the future (by 33 years) where Singaporeans no longer have a sense of belonging and are ditching singapore at the first sign of danger, which in this case, is some huge typhoon which is going to hit us. Apparently, the history module of the Sec 2 special programmes is designed to help you cope with this kind of stuff. Cool huh?

I didnt really get it though... cuz what we learnt was how history is preserved and the changes that happened to different cultures over the ages. Of course, i can see it a little... but i didnt really see the point of having so many speciallised groups... what's the english one going to do?

The trip was quite interesting, and i got to play this totally cool card game, which i did okay in (if people didnt keep skipping my turn or taking my gold... grrr...), but only got a few friends to go with, and the ones from my class kept making gl remarks and basically rude comments, so i took more fun in taoing them instead. Friendly kind of tao-ing that is. =) I'm still such a nice guy...

Came up with solutions today... our group tried to be very creative, came up with ideas like modernizing the national anthem and pledge and making a modern, hip Kong Zi (jian) to touch the people, and impart moral values, but i think the message didnt get across that well... who woulda guessed... our ideas were much better than some giant mirrors anyways...
