Random

took the ride at 8:37 PM
random spamage cuz i cant think of what to write. Malay test came back: 19.5 upon 40 (edited), i just failed by half a mark! :'( but no worries cuz i still beat manfred by one mark! yay.

National day tmr, starting of 4 day hols, which is great if not for the four exams that are going to take place next week: history, geog, maths, and scouts. Yes, scouts also got test, this one is for silver (that's one place behind gold!) i hope i pass...

Funny thing happened at the knots test:

Jeremy: Okay, alvin, ready to take test now?
Me: Yup.
Jeremy: First question: what is the sheepshank for?

Would have been stumped at the first question if Hiok had not tell me the answer beforehand (he took the test first). But of course i could guess =)

Me: Shortening ropes.
Jeremy: Correct! Next question: what is the use of the highwayman hitch?

Duh, Jeremy hinted that it would come up a lot right before the test, so I had studied.

Me: Leash animals and also to tie to boats to pull them in.
Jeremy: (weird look on face)
Me: (fearing death) and also for flagstaff.
Jeremy: wow, u even know about the animal and boat part. (it was in notes)
Me: Of course! Why, got bonus marks right? (sarcasm)
Jeremy: Eh, how u know? (OMG)

so on so forth. I passed! =)

'Genius' is overrated.
