PLTC just ended yesterday afternoon, so after those long days without a bath and much sleep i was finally able to go and do what i always wanted to do.
laze and slack.
thats 2 camps in two weeks now, and since both are four days that means - what? - a lot of smelly clothes, worn-out shoes and etc etc. but i cant say that PLTC is hard and tiring. Nooo, that would be so wrong. Compared with GTC, SUTC, maybe even Annual Camp, PLTC is so slack that it would be like comparing an elephant with the blue whale.
Just a recap of the camps.
SUTC: Scout Unit Training Camp, involve sec 1 and 2s in new patrols doing usual patrol stuff (plus a lot of pumping) and basically training to be good patrol ppl and be fit. This is done by... pumping.
AC: Annual Camp, held annually, involves long hours of pioneering, cooking, having cock activities while basically having fun but still maintaining some discipline.
GTC: Group Training Camp, involve sec 1 and 2s in their batch in diff patrols, hiking around singapore and getting blisters and abraisions while getting owned by pumping most of the time.
To demostrate how far we had to walk, here's a nice map of singapore with our route. Walked in three mornings, afternoons. With heavy bags with rations and clothes for four days.

PLTC however... here's the basic time table for day 2:
6.30: Wake up
6.45: PT
7.15: Breakfast
8: Inspection
9: Station Games
11.30: Start Cooking Lunch
2.30: Station Games
4.30: Dinner
7.30: Night Games/War Games
11: Supper + Wash up
12.30: Sleep
and thats basically what we did for four days. FOUR WHOLE DAYS. i'm sure. Even though it seems slack (it is actually: we never did more than 20 pushups in one go), but they somehow managed to make me feel quite uncomfortable and bored. Maybe it was the scarf wearing every second. It was humid and stifling. Maybe it was the sudden rains. Rains during camp = not good. Maybe it was the continuous routine. In any case, it wasnt much to brag about or remember. However good points: =) I met new ppl from other scout groups! The maris scouts and the beatty scouts are great people, tbey are fun and are great to be around. The chief commissioner for my district and the programmes person also met with us to discuss about scouting. I got a free badge! =P
Its for something that i didnt even go for, that i'm not even sure happened cuz of some mix up with the real Jamboree. Its this year!!! Bargain. I can't wear it though... so sad... =(Time for something else besides scouts i think. Tmr will be going to primary school chalet, hope i can have fun and relax a bit from scouts.
