today's ORA walk-a-jogathon. first time i went for it =) in three years at RI! Crowded. and noisy. and full of food and drinks- or should i say bubble tea, bubble tea, nachos, muffins and more bubble tea. The 1.6km route wasnt tough at all, i even doubt if its 1.6km, cuz it seemed so short and familiar. The food stalls not bad, and its kind of the school to provide us with ONE $1 coupon when everything costs from $2 upwards. Must praise RIPB for its wonderful 20 cents ice lollies... almost couldnt believe my eyes! The NPCC stall wasnt too bad, selling bubble tea at reasonable prices, and the people there were nice enough so i quickly spent a coupon and fifty cents. Went to play soccer almost immediately after the run, cuz many people were playing. Zi Xuan and Calvin are seriously imba, no wonder our class so good... unfortunately rugby had to kope the field so we dispersed.
Dunking! =D some teachers and prefects and RGS ppl got dunked. Most memorable is when kenneth kwok was dunked by no other than Edward Ng, haha jacked! Next to the prefect's dunking station was the 01 one. Catapult water balloons into human targets. sounds simple enough. but the catapult quite hard to make, and kept falling apart, so never really did very well. Tried to own kenneth with it but somehow it keeps missing... oh well, at least one hit the vicinity of his hand... ye oon had even worse luck... he came when the catapult was angsting and managed to somehow shoot into the crowd watching the dunking =D good job ye oon!
at about 10.30 went with 01'06 and yanzhi to KFC at J8 to celebrate the bday of someone... do you want me to tell you who? kk. kK. KK. Kk. kk. happy bday eve!
the scouts talk next... at woodlands. who gives a talk in a woodlands primary school? The place was quite nice though, and there were scouts from other schools too, i think HCI and another school. One of the school scouts had funny nametags, like 'humorous owl' and '(fill in a nice adjective)(fill in an animal). I wish 01 also like that... great conversation starter. =) quite friendly people. Before the talk, we played a game involving fingers. copyright KK all rights reserved. Damn fun (cuz i OWN). Its now the official batch game, along with group chopsticks. =) The talk was nothing much new to me, except for the details on CCA, which surprisingly didnt list prior companionship as a requirement. But the 'teacher' says shouldnt have change old rules... planned a 25km route with 10 checkpoints, and did a checkpoint map of the school. After that, threw a few balls in the basketball courts and then went home via MRT and bus. in the mrt, we talked about the current sec 1s and 2s... its interesting to see people's views...
------------
saw someone i once knew today.
just walking around, somehow... its kinda weird, when people appear when you least expect it. maybe its just me, but that doesnt happen a lot. maybe i keep to myself too much... wanted to go over and say hello, but in the end just did nothing. Until it was too late, the chance's gone, and i just stare into emptiness...
i guess its been too long, and i dunno what to say. wasnt really quite close anyway, but it should be always good to meet someone u knew for ages and havent quite have the chance to meet again. chance meetings in mrt stations, bus-stops are probably like the only opportunities. but then... i hesitate. i like to think i leave a good impression on people. yeah. hopefully. but then bad thing about that is people kinda try to leave a good impression on me too. ironic eh, such a thing can be negative too. People dun suan me much cuz i dun suan much, and then people in turn dun suan much with me around. you'll be surprised to see how much of the daily talk of people is basically random talk and suanning. heck, other than that the only thing to talk about is studies. which is boring and depressing.
its hard to change my habit, and i'm not even sure i should, cuz its not bad to be a nice guy. theres a good side and a bad side.
somehow, the bad side really gets me down... if i could change the past, my actions, my words, my thoughts...
