3 important events
- Annual Camp
Its actually longer than 5 days, with all the preparations and everything. Basically the highlight of the scouting year, and this year it was outside of RI, in another school, which just makes it better. Designing your own gadgets and structures is challenging, watching it come to life is just cool. And KF, what a fun patrol. smile loads, play hard. Keep on striving.

I'm cheating here, its actually two components together, and thats boarding and OIP. boarding was amazing. waking up to see the school campus, eating buffet type food at the dining hall, studying in the library at night, playing pool with the other RLP people. convenient ba. and OIP was kind of like the Khao Lak trip, but with more interaction and meaning. Thanks to the vietnamese people for making us feel welcomed... next year, hopefully we'll get to show them our hospitality too. and the RLP people. oh the RLP people. great bunch, i'm happy to be able to get to know them, to be friends.
-National Patrol Camp
competition for scouts, 5 days at Sarimbun Camp. we were only able to properly start prepping for it exactly 1 week before the start, while 02 started long ago. For 6 out of the 7 days, we just came down from 10am to 6pm and worked our socks off. At the camp, did our best, got a silver, but hey, wasn't that bad. Opened my eyes really to scouts outside of RI, there's loads of skilled people out there, friendly people. scouts really is a great cca. and the 7 people i went with from 01... what we can achieve if we played and worked together. they rock.
3 memorable moments
-Festival of Lights, Annual Camp
lit candles on the grass, arranged in a pattern. after presenting to the j1s, just sitting there in a circle and talking about AC and life. peaceful.
-Scout Lore Quest, Gold
dramatic last moment when anurak answers the correct answer that pushes 01 into the lead. 02 fails to answer their question and we got the double gold for scout and venture sections.
-01 Annual Show
being part of a show for 500+ people, all the blood sweat and tears, the props, the backstage, the dancers. during the show, tense as can be, just waiting for something to go wrong, listening to the MCs going through their lines, singing the songs, watching the pro dancers dance. when it's over, there's just this sense of relief that everything's over and - what a great show!!
3 Hikes
- First Class Hike
Rong Jun was my buddy, sherman and lu chen my companions. In two days, pasir ris to hougang to east coast to raffles institution. Crazy walk. Plus we still had to do route maps and hike logs along the way.
- Group Training Camp
because of NPC, only went for 3 days. 1st day was hike with jack and ben hong and sec 1s, nice and relaxed. second day was with norris and sec 2s. crazy for the first half, and when the energy began to die out, it started raining. haha. last day of pumping. yup, definitely crazy.
- A Very Special Walk
ok this isn't a hike but its a WALK right? :P came the night before, helped a bit, then played cards till quite late. slept for two hours, then started helping some more, then the actual walk, followed by the fun fair. the ventures organised it, so we were allowed to be more relaxed, had loads of fun. and free coupons thanks to tak wei :)

in hue, vietnam. 3 storeys, but not that wide, bong me gia and long in one room on two mattresses sleeping. chinese chess, food that rocks, computer with winning eleven, friendly people. winning combination.
- Gifford/Jian Wei's house
thanks for inviting me there. lots of facilities to use, lots of fun there. tennis, table tennis, pool, functions, singing.

-Bhargav tries to scam MRT... and fails
bhargav loses his ez link. bhargav gets into MRT without tapping card. bhargav has to find way to get out again. jun wei taps card for bhargav to quickly go through. as bhargav starts to go through.... he drops a coin and bends down to pick it up. then the door closes. LOL. stupid.
- Dissecting fish
this cannot not be funny.
- Zi Xuan.
he is just damn funny. XD like that time he was caught whistling in class and refuse to admit it.
