BUT friday/saturday was great days. must blog about it (:
First, friday. normal school day, except with a total defence talk instead of PE. after school, went to attend chinese remedial (just for fun), then went FUNK! i am pretty behind everyone, having missed two sessions, but learning three new moves is definitely cool. hope i will catch up! then we were planning to go and buy presents for amos and hiok, but since it was so late we had to rush off to victoria school for the CCA hike briefing. anurak almost didnt make it lol. ended up he had to run across the road and catch the bus we were on at the next bus stop. lucky haha.
for the CCA briefing... the person presenting had a pretty dry sense of humour, and we all didnt laugh since he could fail us with a flick of his hands (heard leonard failed because he marked checkpoints with dots instead of crosses. ouch) anyway i hope i can pass (: hope we all pass! after that it was already 8pm, and we were stuck in the west part of singapore. so kenneth, zj and i took bus 76 back... zj lives in some ulu part in the east. he is damn sad haha. his plan was to take 76 to paya lebar mrt then change to mrt to bugis and then take bus 170 back home. luckily, his mother can pick him up at bugis. unluckily, he missed the paya lebar stop. lol i dun know what happened next. i was already home eating dinner :D
saturday was pioneering act. and orientation act for the SU. hope the new sec 1s are getting settled in... 01! for us, we went to braddell west lake to try out new pioneering designs. according to the IC, zhong jun, the objective was to fail, because according to murphy's law, everything that can fail will fail, so let's fail first. -.- but okay, it wasnt a failure, we got a nice structure up! and the SU came by once in a while to carry chee yeow around. lol. are they laughing at us or are we laughing at them?
after act, the ventures split up to do their respective stuff, and 6 of us, kenneth francis hiok rongjun jack and i went to thomson forest after lunch. to cut bamboo! haha didnt know bamboo grew in singapore. it was a pretty ulu site too... in the middle of some dense forest. no paths. the walk through the forest was great, and there were these razor sharp vines with spikes hanging down along the way too! yup. the bamboo we found was great, clean and green, so cool! better than the NPC ones. francis went and buried his leg in quicksand (accidentally). lol. now his shoes are better than scout shoes. took a picture using vines. check francis' blog for details.
back to RI with the bamboo, wrapped in garbage bags like some golf club. or dead body, whichever way you see it. hoho the bus uncle was very nice about it. after that was basically cleanup (and a few games of carrom). i am officially no. 5 in carrom for our batch, i lost terribly to rong jun and zhong jun (and don't you deny it).
Hamster came next. Current names are boon and lay. lol. thanks to sup, jon ed, zhong jun and others for picking them up. one word: cuuuuuuuuuuuuuute. reminds me of algie last time. i hope they enjoy long lives. (:
Dinner with hiok, francis and zhong jun. zhong jun reveals to us his name was actually zheng jun. omg. like the bourne identity. except he wasn't born with that identity. some mistake or something. food junction, we 'celebrated' hiok's bday with an ice kacang cake. sweeet! then off to popular to find zheng jun's pen modding parts.
