Scouts was VC prep. the june hols camp... all of a sudden it seems like time is flying by again! seems like yesterday when it was jan 1st and i was fretting over first day of school. now its term 2, week 9, almost half the year gone.
Signs of change everywhere. Man Utd has finally confirmed their league title. good job. too bad for liverpool. another barren year for arsenal, but let's look forward! and i have to admit Man Utd vs Barca in champion league final is seriously mouth-watering. hope henry scores and take a bit of revenge for arsenal (:
Another sign: after alighting at the stop near my house, something felt different.
i realise there was a sign for Bartley MRT up. haha it shall be slightly more than 70m from my house! so convenient. so... hmm. and behind it is the new Bartley Christian Church. some mega building now. for some 01-06 people, you might remember it as one of the checkpoints for first class... just last year. just last year it was a pile of rubble. now look at it. and the new expressway at the end of Bartley Road. And the now-finished renovating Maris Stella school.
so sparkling new. so... weird?
haha maybe because i'm one of those sentimental types. i miss the big lumpy field in maris stella, the long rows of car cramming the road in front of the church on Sunday (now there's an underground carpark :o ), and of course riding 93 or 28 home. cos now with the new MRT station, i guess i won't be riding it much longer. shorter trips, yes. better? hmm.
