Learning Journey and Chinese Prelims

last week would have been a great week if not for the HCL mid year exam... spoilt the whole week hmph. especially with wednesday off for learning journey!

for my class, we went to the RSAF museum, which basically showcased a lot of planes as well as chart the history of the air force. hmm some people might find it boring (so plain/plane) but i think it was actually quite cool! how many times can you get close to a fighter plane that actually worked before? for me, once, which was on wednesday.

anyway we looked at the exhibits, took some pictures, watched a video, and then we had to go back. sadly, there was chem prac after that, so we spent another 1 hour in school with koh siak peng before going to j8 for lunch.

off the nose of a plane lol.

look there!

the rest of the week was spent at home mugging for chinese. how do you mug for chinese? the answer is you can't, so i spent many hours hunched over chinese ws trying to memorise some cheem phrases (which i didnt really use in the end) :(

on friday was the test. actually the test wasn't that bad, however, the hall was COLD! i was sitting in the center of the hall, under attack on both sides by the air con. despite this obstacle i battled on and managed to finish both my papers. a good achievement! just that i'm pretty sure my paper 1 will not score very well, since i chose the two most gl options (qn 2 and 4). oh wells. i really need to work on chinese...

after school was the soccer match. before that, hiok francis rongjun and i went to practice a bit of funk, but we couldn't do the actual dance, so they taught me the moves i don't know yet. and now i do! puay lin is forward, lavin is side, pop is throwing face, chem bro is wavy arms! something like that. :)

soccer. we played very well, but in the end lost 5-4 to NCC. haha really an EPIC match. from 0-1 down, to 3-1 up, to 4-2 up, to 5-4 down. great job rui liang! he scored a hat trick, really good stuff. although we didnt win i guess it was quite a fair/fun match, and we didnt really expect to win anyway. but like ben goh say, we were the better team for once! and now i know i can pump a ball 3/4 of the astroturf nicely :) we'll work hard for the next match!

after the chinese mid year exam, its good that we have 3 days to rest... recover from the shock. tmr is the replacement holiday for vesak day, so i might stay up tonight to watch arsenal vs chelsea.

thanks buddhism!
