Holidays:Salvation

After VC ended on monday, i was still feeling the hangover effects BUT still needed to go for chinese remedial next morning, so i somehow managed to get up and make my way there on time. Thanks circle line. 麦老师 decided to stop chiding me about how i really screwed up for zuo wen. And i agree with her... must work harder! Did a bit of greenwave discussion, then had to rush home for tuition... chinese tuition. Haha yea my life sucks right.

Wednesday was interclass bball! even though we had hieu and dennis, 4M still got thrashed quite bad by LCD. two people can't save the team, especially when the team got only the bare minimum of 5 players, no subs, and the worst bball player in the world known as 'alvin chua'. At least i managed to score a point. 1 point! In between games, we went to do greenwave, cutting out small vehicles and smokes for our video. Lots of it. After the bball ended we continued doing it until about 6pm. Lol late. Then went with hiok, tak, rongjun, anurak, francis to watch the stupid quiz for AC. not really much lame stuff... only the GIBBS equation got mangled up into Girls In Boys Brigade = Screwed. lol.

Thursday was helping the Anderson Guides build their campfire gateway. Its a hanging bridge, and 9 of us managed to pull it off reasonably well in 3 hours. Thanks for the cookies (and the cookie jar). Met up with the rest for lunch and then watched Terminator Salvation! Its about how a man struggles against the tyrannical oppression of a powerful entity in order to reach the ultimate goal of salvation for his people. Wow, sounds like my conflict with homework. Except that I don't have to be concerned about whether my father (which haven't give birth to me yet) dies or not. Lots of action and fighting and stuff like that. Quite nice actually. We had to go back to Anderson after that to do some last minute repairing of the gateway, which had some 'defects'.

After that, back to RJC for Parent's Night. Looking around, I can't help but think this year's wasn't as... hmm how to say. Maybe its just that the situation is different. But the merry-go-round, see saw were creative! While the parents had their presentation, the rest of us went back to our old patrols for the announcement of the 2008's overall standings. GL... limbo, glass of water, sit-ups, jumping jacks, push-ups. And the order is Falcon, Eagle, KF, Hawk, Kestrel, Owl from the front. 3rd was my goal at the start of last year; quite happy to have achieved it. But the standings aren't really that important. This closes the chapter on my Sec 3 life in scouts. Was great, is great.

Lastly, friday was NYAA. Jon Ed's mother gave another great lesson, as usual. This time we discussed about magazines and commercial writing. Next time we'll be going on a field trip! Haha, where could it be...

Sadly, 1st week of holidays are over! And I have barely touched my homework. Oh no, this is not a good sign... especially since there are 9(!) projects due next term... my table is covered with paper, and i dunno where to start. I don't think I'm a procrastinator, its just that this time the homework are all long and draggy like performance tasks that require groups and can't be done in one shot. Its really annoying sometimes. Grrr.

the best way to get something done is to begin.
