Ok, that would be pretty anti-climatic. The real big deal is that CCA will resume next week. Yes, there'll only be 1 act per week, which is less than the amount of time we spent doing chinese each week =( but still, its an improvement! and we're starting with test-taking. like when you are starving and you get thrown a cabbage. better than nothing.
Today was magship meeting! Our first one... considering that its due this friday its quite late. Went to school at 1pm and waited for a while. Then thyagesh comes down from boarding, walks to me and says "Help me tear this magnet off my jeans."
lol. he had one magnet in his pocket and the other just stuck on the outside. didn't expect the magnets to be that strong. its like a regular black hole. anyway after we got the magnets to practise 'social distancing', Lam and Wenqi came, and we started.
We know the concept, but the batteries we brought were either dead or too weak, so thats problem number 1. now it moves as fast as the mixed rice queue, although that could be the wind. hopefully we can get it to go at the speed Dr Chionh wants us to write our geog essays (3 sheets of paper in 20 mins?!) but the boat we built looks pretty decent, although simple. haha i think we will get it to work somehow.
Rushed off to Scout HQ to join the rest to collect our VLC shirts. yup, there's a VLC shirt! at least its better than the previous shirts from Scout HQ. i remember the blue PLTC shirt which brought the meaning of 'simplicity' to another level, or the NPC shirt which was quite ugly. The font was in Arial! anyway, this shirt was a collar shirt, in front is the VLC logo and on the left sleeve is our names! not bad (:
Didn't want to go back to RI again (sorry!) since there was not much left to be done, so we just went around to random and buy stuff for people. would you call this shopping? anyway some interesting choices. hope they like it!
this term hasn't really gotten off to a good start. all the false starts, the cancellations, the mistakes. its about time we started to see the light on the horizon.
hopefully i will get better with time.
