Friday Evening / Prelim's Coming

Its a nice friday night. I like fridays because its the slackest school day. The long recess, the minimal 4 periods, and poof! the next two days are school-free. Haha maybe thats why i never do homework on fridays.

Let's see... week 8 is over. Time sure flies fast. On monday i had my oral defence. I'm pretty sure i didn't perform as well as i could have, especially looking at the presentations that came after mine, especially the very good ones like hieu's. Its more than the marks... its proving to others that this 4 years is something worthwhile. the thing is, i know its worthwhile. i guess i shall just have to be content with that.

Another thing is picking our DMPs. It was a mad rush on Monday to get home to 'chope' all the good modules... Although I had to change a bit, I think i'm pretty satisfied with my choice this year. Namely: Introductory Electronics, The Psychology of Personality, Psychoanalysis with Freud, Introduction to Nanotechnology, and the obligatory Chinese remedial. Pretty interesting stuff!

Bad
- No free days (1 day i have to come to school just for CLE)
- Go back late every day

Good
- Go to school late on 6 days
- Few 'in-between' slots (4 only)

The HMT prelims next tuesday is going to be HUGE. You can see by how they started to 'excuse' people from CCA two weeks in advance. The funny thing is i'm not really sure how you should study for chinese. Language is not something that you can pick up in a few days. Oh well... i guess continuous reading and spamming of papers will do it for me now XD
