New Perspective

The Bio Paper was choked full of questions... didn't have time to really finish them, only rushing through. Couldn't check, so I hope my first instincts were correct. But after the teacher said "Put your pens down.", it really felt like a load off my chest, and i couldn't resist sneaking a peak at my favourite 3 words in the exam paper: "End of Paper".

EOYs are over!

If you don't count O Levels, this ends my academic year in RI (sec). 4 years worth of hard work. I guess it really is a significant moment, even if we don't realise it right now. Like how the PSLE is for primary school. If the memories of 6 years of primary school education can be condensed into one, I know it'll be the PSLE for me. Imagine that. What Kumaran said was right. Our priorities shifts as we go on... soon there'll be something more important to strive for.

Anyway, right now is post-EOYs, so teachers will be frantically marking our test papers while we get a breather. Kind of weird not studying, after almost a month's worth. Freedom is something sort of weird. My parents are already getting worried and asking me what my plans are. I don't know haha. Figure them out as I go along.

One thing is reading! Haven't read a proper book since... I dunno, ages! Just finished 'Fever Crumb', the prequel of the Mortal Engines Quartet. Its a great series! Sometimes good authors don't get the recognition they are due, haiz.

And i'm currently addicted to "New Perspective", by Panic! at the Disco. Quite relevant haha (:

I feel the salty waves come in
I feel them crash against my skin
And I smile as I respire
Because I know they'll never win

There's a haze above my TV
That changes everything I see
And maybe if I continue watching
I'll lose the traits that worry me

Can we fast-forward to go down on me?

Stop there and let me correct it
I wanna live a life from a new perspective
You come along because I love your face
And I'll admire your expensive taste

And who cares, divine intervention
I wanna be praised from a new perspective
But leaving now would be a good idea
So catch me up on getting out of here

Taking everything for granted

But we still respect the time
We move along with some new passion

Knowing everything is fine

And I would wait and watch the hours
Fall in a hundred separate lines
But I regain repose and wonder

How I ended up inside

More to the point, I need to show
How much I can come and go
Other plans fell through
And put a heavy load on you

It's not fair, just let me perfect it
Don't wanna live a life that was comprehensive
'Cause seeing clear would be a bad idea
Now catch me up on getting out of here
So catch me up I'm getting out of here

Looking forward to tonight's games and tmr's outing. (:
