Alright... took a look at my blog, and decided that its far too black and gloomy! It's been more than a year, so yea, due for a change... finally, a skin that is not solely black or white haha!
With regards to ISLE, I've emailed the teacher-in-charge explaining that I can't make it for the overseas trip, so I'm still waiting for a reply... most likely, I'll get kicked out, but thats just an opportunity cost I'm willing to take (: Thanks for all the advice! Will find some other way to make myself feel useful yea?
Yesterday was the District Orienteering Competition organised by 01. Quite a reasonable turnout, 10 teams (excluding one that didn't read instructions properly... they did a totally different thing and didn't answer their phone too haha). 01 GC did well, 01 team not so well, but overall great! Thanks a lot to Francis (and Joel), lots of credit to your hard work! :D
Left early and took the incredibly boring and long trip from Bishan to Bukit Gombak, where I met up with the rest of 11SO6P. We were befriending Lakeside Family Services children for YProm, a 'concert' at West Coast Park haha. Class CIP, enthu sia! (: Quite a good turnout, about 18 people went, too much in fact, so some people didn't have a partner... Awwwww!
My 'charge' was a P6 boy named Khiruddin, quiet at first, but at West Coast Park we talked a lot, he's a sweet kid haha. Did lots of random stuff, like painting hands, learning the chinese yoyo (he learnt how to toss it in the air on his first try), went around the playgrounds and went to the shore to see the sights. Lots of kites were in the air, seriously a beautiful day... Feels nice when the only thing you had to worry about is whether he left his shoes behind, no? In the end we didn't even listen to the concert much haha.
(he took this picture himself! :D)The rest of the class went to do their own stuff, but haha some of us met towards the end and took a few nice photos at the spider web! Yay for Brander, Eric, Jocelyn, Ryan and Vincent! Khiruddin is a brilliant photographer, and I am his brilliant teacher! XD
Had to say goodbye to them, not without a insanely funny song session in the bus back (loosen up my buttons babe, uh huh...). Then, had dinner at Jiaxiang before MRT-ing back from Boon Lay to Outram Park to Serangoon to Bartley haha.
Sometimes life's just that, flying freely in the wind, without a care in the world, but its the thin string that keeps us grounded and reminds us that we don't need everything for us to have everything we need. (:
