Yesterday was the Ycamp briefing and scout guild campfire. I'm assigned to MINDS, and I'm looking forward to the camp actually, the idea seems really meaningful, plus the passion they have for what they do kinda reminds me of the GC and scouts. After that kenneth and i rushed back to RI for the scout guild campfire. It was... a new experience in a sense, something we're not used to and haven't seen before. One thing I do take away is how dedicated and committed to scouting the old boys are, taking time to come back together to sing songs over a ukulele.
Tomorrow is annual camp with the scouts! Really one of the highlights of the year, can't wait to hunker down with the rest of the GC and carry out all the cool activities we've planned. All the planning comes into fruition! After that is the envirolympics challenge and then Ycamp! and hopefully the planned outings will take flight and i can catch up with old friends before we get sucked back into acad life haiz.
Oh shucks there's all the common tests looming in first week term 3. Really a downer, i'm going to chiong studies for the last two weeks so that i won't do badly! Scared what the CTs might show especially since all the J1s have basically cruised through this past two terms without any form of graded work (except PI blehh), and i'm afraid to find out whether i'm really as bad (or good i guess!) as i think i am. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.
