This post is dedicated to the 2 group of friends who make my life sparkle.


Here's to that bunch of wonderful secondary school friends, who took time off their busy busy lives to come down on Friday just to relieve the past. gifford, worm, manfred, aloy, choo, plus hiok, ewan, zyd, wzy, najoma, guanlin, bryson, adil, roys, johnson! The game was soccer but the aim was to, for a little while, go back to those carefree days. Easily the most fun (and exercise) I've had in a long time heheh. Especially when we the 2P dudes tikitaka-ed the ball in the first 20 minutes. For a while, that sense of awesomeness and connectedness just sorts of surges though your whole body haha. (:

Then at night, 7 of us went to Braddell Heights CC and caught the Brazil-Netherlands match. 3 goals and a red card! The atmosphere is nice haha, everytime a chance goes wide a collective 'oooh' will run through the crowd. And when they score... everyone cheers! Jibing choo and gifford when Kyut missed while they retaliated when Van Persie did worse haha. After that we went over to my house and fifa the next 3 hours away before collapsing into bed. Oh mann we woke up 4 hours later but I repaid my sleep debt by spending the rest of the morning in bed after breakfast haha.


Secondly, here's to the GC. On Friday afternoon, we met up (plus zhi and norris) for a meeting with a teacher regarding RD. I'm not really going to comment on this here, at least not yet. But after the meeting, couldn't help thinking that even though the meeting is supposed to give others an understanding of 01, it also did the same for me.

At the end of the sharing, the teacher was kind of skeptical about how each of us in the GC was equal, saying that such a perfect system is rare.

Well, it is rare, and here we have an awesome example. It works because we trust, we understand, we forgive, and we keep in mind that there is more to this than pride and accomplishment, like the whole unit, friends and well, life in general. The experiences we've shared, the confident smiles, the secret looks we passed around... our unity gives me hope haha.


And these are two good reasons why I never fail to get up in the morning with a smile on my face. :)
