our guiding lights

Teachers' Day Eve started with a concert. Slightly disjointed and a bit boring at times, but Chia and Hanis were zany emcees, so it was quite nice haha. After that, we gave our tutors awesome t-shirts decorated by a talented Yimeng and signed by our class! Messages are super funny, and all our tutors were so touched by our love they couldn't wait to take it off (sadly). Although I don't see the shame in winning the nobel prize Mr Tan! Then back to RI to visit some ex-teachers and watch Mr Koh get caked. For the third time haha.

Finally had my epic carrom game with Zhong Jun, in which I emerged victorious in the tiebreaker after we both had a win and a draw apiece. Ahh good ol' times!

Then, went for 4M class lunch with Mrs Tay and Mdm Bek. It was nice meeting up with 4M again! I know we may not be the most united class but there's always a sense of comfort and content talking to my old classmates again, like lionel, huihao, xiaolys, pat, dex and junlem. Good friends come in all packages, and you are all good friends, even if we don't get to see each other much now! And Mrs Tay and Mdm Bek were still the same caring teachers they were last year... miss them already!

Somewhere in history, someone came up with the bright idea to celebrate the efforts of teachers everywhere with a day of celebration. Firstly, he's right that teachers deserve some appreciation. But more importantly, why is it only for a single day? We should shower our love for our teachers everyday and give them less grief. Or alternatively, we could declare a few weeks off to properly thank our teachers and let them go for their little vacations. Heh.

To all the teachers who have been the source of inspiration to so many others, Happy Teachers' Day!
