Got the letter a few days ago. Yup, the thin, top-secret-confidential pleaselearnsomepropertearingtechniquestodelicatelyreaditscontents letter. Is it really that much more secure to send a letter sealed upon itself? Because I almost ripped it open trying to follow the dotted lines haha.
Anyway, main thing was I had to go online to complete some forms, but firstly had to register myself again, with my full name and nric and stuff, which I did quickly in a no-brainer way. Then on to the forms - BUT IT DIDN'T WORK. So typed everything more carefully this time. And the site kept telling me that it wasn't my real name and/or nric.
So after hitting 'enter' about 20 times and then checking the url to see if I was at some nigerian scam site, I called on the big guns: my parents! And they couldn't figure it out too. So they went to check my original documents, and well...
Long story short, the name that I've been using for over 18 years of my life, using to apply for all the random forms, IS WRONG. Shocked me when I saw it, my mother couldn't believe it too, thought it was an error and started chiding my father. The funny thing is, when I typed in my... correct name, the website accepted it. :O
Funny how we're always learning something new about ourselves, huh!
